On draft, Loosa Brews.
Pours a hazy golden yellow, with frothy white head that settles slowly into the glass and leaving small amounts of lace around the rim.
Sweet citrus, malt, grassy hops work perfectly together in a balanced, hoppy nose. Not overpowering, not overly sweet or hoppy.
Ekuanot is a tough hop to showcase on its own. It’s got a lot of great qualities, but the flavors can be a little overwhelming when isolated. Grassy, floral, and earthy hit hard out of the gate, and only towards the end do you get a softer, sweeter malt and light pineapple flavor. Tasty, but just not a hop variety that I think should be on its own.
Soft feel, good weight, medium carb. Slightly bitter and dry in the finish and it lingers, but it’s not unpleasant.
