Appearance: Poured thick motor oil. Black as night with no translucence.
Smell: sweet and decadent. Toasted walnuts, maple, chocolate, and booze. Like a melted candy bar.
Taste: quite hard to describe. Every distinctive ingredient can be easily tasted. Touch of maple here, walnuts there, heavy chocolate up there. Then it contrast nicely with the caramel notes of whisky and the spicy habaneros. The heat comes in with a bite but quickly fades away, leaving you ready for another sip. As the beer warms up, it transforms to delicious warm cookies with walnuts.
Mouthfeel: thick and sticky. No alcohol warmth but the spiciness from the habaneros.
Overall: truly an amazing beer. An impressive execution combining all the ingredients without any flaws.
