L: Had this beer on-tap at Westbrook's tasting room, poured into a snifter glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored, fairly long-lasting head. Not much lacing.
S: An alluring aroma of maple syrup, chocolate, blueberries, chili peppers, spices, and malt.
T: Tasted of a surprising amount of blueberries (a large factor), lots of chocolate (quite sweet), a little malt (present throughout, subtly), a moderate amount of chili peppers (just enough heat), a lot of maple syrup, and a hint of spice (cinnamon). This is a fantastically well done flavor. The blueberries are a little jarring at first, but it manages to work.
F: A decent amount of carbonation with a super smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A thoroughly enjoyable beer. Drinkable.
