16 fl oz pull-tab can nabbed at a New Orleans, LA beer store for $3.59 USD plus tax.
"India Pale Ale." 7% ABV. Brewed with Citra, Amarillo, and Idaho 7 hops.
Served cold into a dimpled mug.
APPEARANCE: Murky and dull. Body colour is a lifeless orange. Worse off for not having been filtered...doesn't look inviting.
AROMA: Vague tropical fruit, muted wheat malt, murky citrus. Idaho 7 seems dominant to its detriment, and neither Amarillo (my favourite hop) nor Citra (another favourite) seem particularly well showcased.
Aromatic intensity is mild.
Aroma promises a weak IPA with a mediocre hop profile.
TASTE & TEXTURE: Has a somewhat silky mouthfeel...unnaturally smooth for an IPA and a bit overcarbonated to boot. Medium-bodied, smooth, wet, unrefreshing.
Hop profile is vaguely citrusy and vaguely tropical, but doesn't bring the clean Citra citrus or the resinous Amarillo flavour I'd expect in a top tier IPA that used those specific varietals. Idaho 7 lends this its indistinct poorly defined tropical fruit hop profile with a bit of deflated citrus in there too...underwhelming and not particularly well balanced with wheat malt thrown in to a malt bill that should have been all 2-row/pale with maybe specialty caramalt or crystal in there at most.
Uninspired and dull across the board.
OVERALL: Given the sheer amount of competition in the oversaturated IPA market (especially these days), you've just got to bring more to the table than this does. Sierra Nevada's Torpedo and Lagunitas' IPA line the shelves of every Walmart across the U.S.A. and damn near every grocer and convenience store, and they run a scant $7.59-$11 a sixer...$3.59/16 fl oz can is a laughable pricetag for this tall glass of mediocrity.

I am trying a can of this beer at my bestie's house in Charlotte, NC. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had dank fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright citrus hop finish. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Picked up a 4 pack at the Brewery on 10.24.20
L - It looks like orange juice. Blond, orange, and cloudy. Gorgeous
S - Citrus aromas dominate.
T - Citrus dominates, not bitter at all. NE IPA style at its finest.
F - Medium body
O - An awesome cloudy NE IPA. Well done!

Wow! How does this beer not have more reviews? Picked it up at a random "quickie mart" near Asheville ... Milky, hoppy, pretty to look at ... Big thumbs up!
