A tart tropical lassi-inspired ale with copious amounts of pink guava and tangerine puree and rounded out with milk sugar and vanilla beans.

L: Milky and hazy yellow, reminiscent of filtered pineapple juice, with a finger of beige head with little retention and minimal lacing.

S: Guava, lemons, and tangerines oh my!

T: Perfect sugar on this sour. Westbrook provides this balance like no other.
Follows all the fruits of the nose.

F: Just right in weight and carbonation, and no grit from the guava to be found. Drink quickly though as it will flatten.

O: This is underrated IMO. Great balance and execution.

16 oz can, dated 9/29/20, into EBC Teku.

Looks like a damn gorgeous NE IPA with a juicy blonde body and a creamy head of 2 fingers. Recedes at a moderate pace and leaves giant loops of lace on the glass.

The amount of sour and puckering citrus in this nose is mind-blowing. Pink guava, red grapefruit, blood orange, tangerine, along with some cake and vanilla bean.

Flavor is mostly pink lemonade, then followed by tangerine sponge cake, vanilla icing, and guava. Powerful, tart, sweet.

Mouthfeel is busy with carbonation and citric acid, is medium bodied, and has a little slickness and pucker. Drying finish that sucks moisture out of the mouth somewhat. Mild heat.

Overall, a very tasty sour ale, Westbrook does them right 9 times out of 10. I can't believe I didn't buy more Westbrook products while I was down south. Oh well, I can always go back. We need quality sour beer like this in the upper plains.

Price paid : $5 / can
Would buy again : sure

Cloudy grapefruit color with about average carbonation. Body is just a bit above average.
Aroma is guave, tangerine, citrus, milk sugar, earthy floral honey
Taste is guava and tangerine up front followed by citrus and milk sugar. Finishes with a citrus bitterness that burns and lingers awhile.
This was really good, only one at a time but very satisfying. Packed with flavor but nothing dominated and washed out the other flavors.
