For our 8th anniversary beer we created a chocolatey pecan cookie in beer form. Roasted pecans, winter spices, and vanilla blend with dark roasted malts and candy syrup for a decadent dessert delight. Released December 2018.

On tap at the Appalachian Vintner in Asheville, NC.
Appearance. With more than a little resemblance to motor oil, this inky dark ale came topped with a good beige head.
While the aroma is candy sweet, the flavor is well-balanced and overall bitter by the finish. Some of the bitterness suggests pecans. This presents a surprisingly strong suggestion of barrel aging but, the vendor says, is not the barrel aged version. Nicely harmonious and complex in any case.
