From the bottom of the can: "3834-3835 08/19/21"
Appearance: The body is nearly opaque and a dull red color with hints of purple and dull orange. The head is medium-sized, frothy, and pink. It has pretty good head retention but no lacing.
Aroma: There is a scent of souring fruit with hints of raspberry and strawberry. A bit of cherry lip balm comes through on the nose as well.
Taste: It has a pleasant, tart, slightly sweet tasting cherry flavor up front. It tastes a bit like cherry pie without the crust. The middle of the mouth is largely the same flavors, but as it transitions to the back of the mouth it picks up a little bit of a lime character. The aftertaste is a bit like cherry limeade. A bit of light cream of wheat flavor is also in the beer.
Mouthfeel: The tartness in the beer is on point and very well balanced and interesting to drink. The body is light and has a touch of sweetness. No perceivable bitterness. Carbonation feels good.
Overall: The can states that this is "A sweet and tart smash-up of juicy pineapple & cherry purees and sour ale." The sweetness, tartness, and cherries are present but the pineapple is absent. As a whole though the beer is outstanding and has a lot of great flavor and aroma. I would recommend it, but especially to those who like sweet and tart cherry pies or crumbles. I probably wouldn't drink it too often but I would look forward to it whenever I did.
