Pitch black body with brown surface lacing. Smells strongly of whisky, with big licorice, plum, date, molasses, and barley. Taste is simpler with dark fruit leading, with big booze bringing molasses and sugarplum, before a big licorice crescendo. Feel is smooth before the booze blows open the mouthfeel, almost burning on the end, want more barrel character depth than we get, tastes more combined than blended if that makes sense
