Gamble Mill Victorian Secret
On tap at Zenos, Penn State 10/27/12
Appearance: Clear, deep gold with a short-lived head of white (possible dirty glass).
Smell: Mild, malty & fruity aroma.
Taste: Fairly bland in the malt department, but nicely fruity with lots of berry and some apple. Dry finish, bitter and fruity.
Mouthfeel: Light-medium in body, and gently crisp.
Overall: A clean, enjoyable ale that doesn't over-do it and offers a little bit of charm. Pleasant and easy to drink.

First had: on tap at their brewpub
One for the ladies, I suppose. Crystal clear golden pour with a small white head that fizzled out rather quickly, cheerful bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Toasted grain aroma with touches of raspberry. More of the same in the taste: toasted grains, pale malts, just enough raspberry to keep this from being a total fruit bomb, grassy hops for a bitter finish. Light body, slightly metallic, but I like that the fruit isn't overblown. Pretty good overall, but not something I'd get again.

Had on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – A golden colored brew with a nice head upon pouring. The head dissipates rather quickly leaving very little lacing.
Smell – Very strong raspberry aroma. Very little else can be detected due to the strength of the raspberry. A very small amount of citrus hop is there and a small amount of maltiness, but very faint.
Taste – A sweet raspberry flavor through and through with a nice malt flavor backbone.
Mouthfeel – A very nice level of carbonation with a smooth light body. Very easy to drink.
Overall – A good beer for a warm day while sitting outside. Nothing spectacular, but a nice sweeter brew if it’s the mood you are in.
