Presentation: Sampled at the Super Des Fagnes Brewpub in Mariembourg on April 16th during the recent Easter Trip to Belgium. Served from the tap into a Super Des Fagnes glass goblet. Listed as a Special Four Cereals 7.0%, cost 2.40.
Appearance: Clouded light brown body with a whispy off-white head. Slack looking with a tired presentation.
Smell: Huge grainy smell with crushed oats and wholemeal flour.
Taste: Dry start, powdery grain middle with a whole meal body in the finish. Dry with a toffee constitution which lacks sweetness. Like eating a whole loaf of wholemeal bread without being allowed to take a drink. Dry to say the least.
Mouthfeel: Average body with a powdery feel that is high on grains. Middling conditioning.
Drinkability: Left half of this one.
Overall: Another *miss* from (the not so) Super Des Fagnes.
