On tap at the Old Toad in Rochester.
This one pours a cloudy, slightly hazy orange, with a half inch head, and a little bit of lacing.
This one smells pretty interesting, there's a lot of grapey white wine, some orange and lemon, and a surprising amount of caramel.
This is an interesting sour because of the unique malt backbone. Not many lighter, white-wine like sours are going to have to have the sweet caramel malt backbone this one has, adding a layer of complexity that's fairly nice. There's some apple and lemon tartness here, with a level of sourness at about 4.5/10. I definitely wouldn't call it super sour. The white wine itself is pretty prominent, from the barrels. There's a bit of oak here too, from the barrels as well.
This is medium bodied, with a pretty juicy mouthfeel, and a moderate level of carbonation.
Very interesting beer here, glad I got to try it.

Cloudy orange pour, half a finger of white head, quick to a sticky lace and some floating spots.
Nice funky smell, Brett and lactic acids galore, leather, horseblanket, damp hay, mold, tart lemons, faint sour cherry, grass, herbs, white wine, stave.
Supersour taste, but not horribly so. Lots of lemon, juice and peel, up front, a bit of mildly sweet orange in contrast. White wine acidity, a bit of vinegar, faint green apple. Mild barnyard funk, green hay, lemongrass, moldy cellar, chalk. Subtle malt sweetness. The nice woody notes help create a really nice and "expensive" chardonnay feel, fruity, perfumey, with a dry finish, bittered by some grassy hops.
Medium body, carbonation worthy of a nice white wine. Aftertaste retains nice white grape, lemon lozenges, quinine, toasted malt and a nice rustic herbal mix.
Great wild saison with a nice alcoholic "oomph!" and nice chardonnay notes imprinted.

A: Hazy orange, short white, but long lasting head. Keeps a cap throughout consumption.
S: Yeast and sour, slight hint of chardonnay.
T: Starts with a bit of mild hop/citrus but quickly is overpowered by a funky, medium sour from the yeast. The taste of the chardonnay barrel comes through at the end similar to Mikkeller's AK Alive.
M: Medium carbonation, a light chardonnay sparkle in the mouth. Easy to drink without much alcohol punctation for the elevated ABV.
O: As a sour fan, this is another great offering from To Øl, to go along with Sur Mælk. More farmhouse ale with sour and yeast than Farmhouse IPA as the label describes. The mild hop front pairs really well with the acid, sour bite finish.
