Copenhagen 20/3 2021. 75 cl bottle from Vin de Table, Frederiksundsvej, Kbh. NV. Simple yellow fading into orange label with a white rectangle.
Pours opaque, hazy, golden yellow with a big white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the suffer of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a tart, slightly citric odor mingling with some funky fumes. Sweet malts and honey. Tart citrus, lime and unripe gooseberries. A touch of humid cellar.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin. only, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger tart sourness. Aftertaste is tart. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry and tart.
The label looks like a fairly boring textbook from there seventies about dialectical materialism. But it is indeed a very nice Saison.

750 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken, LOT BA0012, shared with my son. ABV is 4.9%. Hazy yellow colour, moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of brettanomyces / farmhouse, stewed yellow fruits and spicy saison yeast. Medium sour flavour, notes of brettanomyces, lactic acid and lemons, also oak and spicy notes.
