Served in a snifter glass from a 22oz bottle.
Appearance: Cloudy body with medium to heavy bubbles creating a thick white head rising just above a finger's length.
Smell: bland hops, dissipates very quickly with light notes of citrus skin.
Taste: Sweet citrus and heavy malts. Lightly bitter, but juicy grapefruit and light lemon feel with doses of floral which wasn't overdone.
Mouth: Sticky and definitely thirst quenching.
Overall: Great gift from the wife, she definitely knows my poison and this one delivered. I thank Westbrook and eviltwin on behalf of this classic.

32oz growler from Whole Foods. Pours a semi hazy burnt orange with half an inch of head. Good amount of lacing. The aroma is pineapple, grapefruit, tangerine, melon and cherry. The taste is cherry, red berries, tangerine, and some toasted malts. Grapefruit at the end with some more malts. Lightly carbonated with a dry mouthfeel. Slightly boozey. Pretty balanced. Overall, good beer is buy every so often.

Appearance is a dark and murky reddish tan. There's only a little bit of light that illuminates it. The head is fine, but goes away fairly quickly.
The smell is sweet pineapple, red grapefruit, and graham crackers. It's really forward.
The taste is sorta like a bitter pear juice. The malt canvas is like a Dogfish IPA (Burton Baton or 90 Minute), but it's lacking the overt fruit flavors, and the flavors overall aren't super-well integrated. I can pick out marmalade, but that's behind the malt, hops, and alcohol. It tastes okay, but there's room for improvement.
The carbonation is integrated okay, but it's easy for the prickliness to be stirred up. The aftertaste is bitter malt and alcohol, and anything interesting is fading away.

Am I the first to review this? I hope I do it justice then. I will also add a pic.
From the bottle it pours a wonderfully murky apple cider looking color with a sudsy head. It reminds me of one of those unfiltered IPAs from Vermont.
The nose is a sweet bouquet of tropical fruit punch; mango, papaya, pineapple, pear and even cherry.
The taste follows the nose practically to a T. Sweet, plump and juicy. The body is on the high side of medium, almost chewy. If you are looking for a hop bomb, this is definitely not it. However, there is a touch of pine hops as well as a dry finish that prevent this one from being cloying and keep it drinkable.
I can see if some people rate this lower due to its sweetness and lower hop level for an IPA. However, I liked it just fine.
