Poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a semi-cloudy burnt orange color with a finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Light messy lace.
The aroma had some lemon pulp sweetness playing with a little bit of sweet grassiness and a low riding cracker malt base. Almost seemed like I actually smelled "lemonade." Did I really just smell that? Interesting.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side initially and tried to broaden it's taste to an ample amount of bitter citrus rind, but somehow seemed to bring back that "lemonade" sort of taste. Aftertaste brought the lemon pulp, grassiness and cracker malts.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fair carbonation rolling about. ABV felt appropriate as suggested by the brewer. Some smoothness but also some harsh grip along my tongue.
Overall, for the most part, it's a pretty nicely done AIPA a bit different perhaps.

super heady east coast style ipa from evil twin, who has really upped their hoppy beer game over the past year or so, this is really fantastic, somewhat cleaner than many of its peers, despite its appearance, which is quite cloudy and thick looking. the head is tall and absolutely virginal pure white, untracked and sexy. great nose too, juicy hops at first, some minerals, bitter, lemonade powder from my youth, that country time crap, but this isnt sweet, just the concentrated citrus thing, lemon specifically, even lime in here too, zesty, but not just hops, there is some dense malt here too that has a nice toasted and crackery aspect. its less sloppy and unfinished than a lot of these, more refined, which i think is needed sometimes in this new east coast haze trend. bitterness is high, which is needed, but its a lot. creamy thicker mouthfeel is nice, and cleaner than many of its peers in the finish. really high quality ipa, and if you enjoy the style of the hazy east coast, you are sure to find this a very fine example of it. have been loving the recent hoppy beers from evil twin!

On tap at Stoneyard Beer Hall and Grill in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a pretty hazy bright orange-ish, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
Smells like dank tropical fruits, a hint of something vaguely vegetal, crackery malt, and some mild pine.
Other than that odd kind of vegetality, this is pretty solid stuff. There's lots of juicy fruit up front, with a solid dank and herbal bitterness on the finish and no real malt character. Without the vegetal character, this would be near perfect.
This is light bodied, crisp and juicy, with a good level of carbonation.
This is definitely one of the best Evil Twin IPAs that I've had- really solid stuff.
