On tap at Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a quite hazy and murky orange-ish color, your classic chicken soup look. There's a small head, and a good amount of lacing.
Smells pretty Nelson-heavy, Nelsony AF basically, with pineapple, white grape, white pepper, pine, grapefruit, and mango. It's super fruity in the aroma, with basically no malt character.
The taste is the same. This is a really cool expression of Nelson, with that sort of mild grape/white wine thing going on, with huuuuge mango and grapefruit as well, and a sort of interesting peppery bitterness on the finish.
This is medium bodied, with a little bit of a muddled mouthfeel, to be honest. The carbonation level is normal.
This is a really solid IPA from Evil Twin. It seems like they're going straight for the jugular when it comes to the IPA style du jour.
