i used to not care a whole lot for the hoppy stuff these guys put out, they were all so over the top and kitchen sinky, bitter, heavy. lately i have really come around on them, or maybe they have come around on their approach to these styles. this is sturdy still for sure, coming in at 7% abv and packing an honest bitterness in the finish, but there is a lot more going on here, and there is a whole lot of hop flavor to go with it, something i really missed in some of their earlier hop forward stuff. its golden and sunny colored, bright with a tall white foam head on it and excellent lace as it drinks. its bubbly and fizzy like a soda on the first sip, my nostrils and taste buds are assaulted at the same time by a neat hoppy juiciness that has a distinct citrus flavor but isnt the citra or mosaic or anything i am used to, at least not in the same way. this must be heavily dry hopped as well. it has a dry punch about it, bursting with freshness, and sort of wintery though too, not sure how they create that vibe, but here it is before me. a flavorless ale yeast and a moderate and balanced grain base that doesnt push much, and a ton of carbonation to finish it quickly. i liked this a lot, would drink several of them in a sitting, and am really curious about the hops, they are almost but not quite familiar to me, either a new strain, an unconventional combination, or some foreign process, but it sure works! need more details on this one!

Poured a light, cloudy yellow body with one-finger head and a bit of a lace ring. An acidic orange crispness w/ notes of mango and pineapple in aroma as well. Smooth body with a sweet pineapple/mango/tropical fruit sweetness with minimal hop element as there is a low bitterness and has minor hop bite on finish. Pretty clean and easy to drink and not a traditional pale ale but pretty good.

This pours a weird and ugly t h i c c looking, with a small head and lots of lacing.
This smells like peach orange and mango with chalky pine.
This is super creamy tasting with a huge blast of hop goodness. All the fruits from the aroma are there, with a light but needed bitterness- it balances everything out.
This is creamy and medium bodied, with a good level of carbonation.
This is the best IPA I've had from Jeppe and Evil Twin. It's so tasty.
