Presentation: 16 oz. can with a batch code on the bottom but no dates. Served in a Lenox Tuscany IPA glass.
Appearance: The one and a half finger head goes away moderately quickly and leaves behind a lot of lacing that covers the entire glass. It's a hazy, dark, oxidized gold color.
Smell: There's a strong grassy, hoppy aroma with some citrusy notes right after. A sweet, vanilla scent shows up in the end.
Taste: There's a quite bitter, hoppy flavor at first that's immediately followed by a sweet, vanilla note. It's not an unpleasant taste but the clash between the two is quite strong.
Mouthfeel: It's robust and creamy with medium carbonation.
Overall: "Strange" just about sums this beer up. The flavors don't exactly gel together or compliment each other. It's still a good beer, just not a great one. There's too much going on.

Got to say this DIPA is pretty great still a touch dry with ABV becoming very evident but the lactose and vanilla sweetness really pops. To me the hops could use a touch more sweetness rather than on the bitter herbal side but it was still tasty!

A: Cloudy yellow/orange with rich foamy head and thick lacing.
N: Oranges, hops, lemon, floral and some vanilla.
T: Very clean citrus with creamy feel, some light vanilla and floral sweetness.
M: Medium
O: Wow, this is so clean and smooth for an Imperial, flavors are excellent.

16oz can. Poured out a hazy, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of grapefruit, orange and vanilla. Sweet tropical fruit flavor with hints of vanilla and a toasted caramel backbone.
