Despite the crudeness it's tricky to make an effective molotov surprise. Despite its unruly nature it's tricky to resist a game of fruit themed beer roulette - spin the wheel of Evil Twin cause you're in for a fruity surprise.

Whoa! I picked up the passion fruit version on purpose (it's printed on the bottom) so it wasn't a Surprise Molotov for me - but the taste was surprisingly good!
When opening it, the passion fruity, tropical zestiness just overwhelmed everything! The first sip was shockingly fruity with a fruity sour kick to it, it was perfect! Just like some unfiltered fruit juice!
And there is ABSOLUTELY no booziness at all, despite the 12% ABV! It is so easily drinkable like nothing else! This is a perfectly brewed drinking joy, and this is the biggest surprise of all! A great beer!

The beer pours out a medium hazy dark golden orange color, with lots of sediment and a thin white head------------- the aromas are of dank weed, grapefruit, orange and alcohol------------- the flavors are of tart passion fruit, grapefruit, orange and orange peel, the beer has a medium mouthfeel with a with a very bitter finish---------------- overall this beer was not my thing, it was to tart and sweet up front and way to bitter on the finish

Hazy golden color with light beige head. Aroma has tart passionfruit and other juicy fruit notes but also booze. Taste is sweet and tart at first with very nice passionfruit flavor and a good amount of grapefruit rind bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Overall it's an interesting experiment but quite boozy.

Nasty smell, like pickles and cabbage.
Lemon zest and peel taste, very sour initially, then a bit bitter and sweet in the end, even honey-like.
A lot of alcohol which can't really be felt.
Interesting, but not for me.

Hazy gold with one finger of rapidly vanishing head. Modest lacing.
Smell is fruity and malty.
Taste is tangy passion fruit orange zest with a middling amount of malt. Fairly sweet.
Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. The finish is balanced and slightly bitter.
Overall a big beer. Batch #002 19:16. ???

12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours opaquely hazy medium orange/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big juicy and lightly tart/tangy passion fruit, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper/pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Touch of booze in the aromas, but not overwhelming. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, passion fruit, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy and lightly tart/tangy passion fruit, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness; and light fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy passion fruit, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, passion fruit, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance. Slightly increasing lingering hop/fruit astringency, but not overwhelming. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and fruit tang/tartness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy, bready, sticky, resinous, rindy, and slightly slick/acidic/tangy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden; a mildly increasing warmth of 12%, with minimal booziness lingering after the finish. Overall this is an awesome fruited DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops, passion fruit, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV, despite the fairly aggressive bitter/drying finish. Very similar to the base beer as expected, with added juicy/tart/tangy passion fruit flavors. Very juicy/dank/earthy hop complexity and balanced malts. Not overly sweet/heavy. A really enjoyable offering.

12 oz can
Pours hazy amber orange. White lacing for a head.
Smells of citrus and tropical fruits, cracker malts, and some herbal and piney hops.
Flavor is brightly fruit-juicy. Passion fruit, pineapple and citrus. Cracker and cereal malts. Earthy and herbal hop finish. A tinge of herbal spice as well.
Medium to full body, light tingly carbonation on the tongue. Hint of pithy fruit tang as well.
Interesting, tasty and juicy. It's almost overwhelmingly juicy. It's decent and worth trying but too much to be a regular thing for me at least.
