Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a one pint can on August 18, 2018. This is good but I was hoping for more aromas and flavors given that it is double dry hopped.

another big ipa from these guys with a ridiculous name, they just keep coming, and there is another one in my fridge and more at the bottle shop, its never ending with these it seems, and they are starting to all be a little samey. this one, by the name, i have to assume is galaxy hop based, but the body of the beer and the hazy weighty feel seems to corrupt the hops a bit, these are not the galaxy hops i know, or at least they arent acting alone, not a great showcase of them, if that was what this was designed to be, but i have no idea really, i never do with evil twin. its got a ton of cereal character, too much i think for the hops, which just taste bitey and forced, like this could have been a better beer a little restrained, like in the 7% abv range even, it just feels stressed to me. wheat and oats probably in high proportion in this mash, some bitterness from the hops adding perceived density to it when it warms up, and a sweetness i didnt expect as well. green but not fruity like i expect from galaxy, maybe in the nose, where the freshness is there and some cool apple and melon notes come out, but there is less of that in the taste and it just feels and drinks too heavy, some booze too at temperature. overall a tasty beer, better than i am making it sound, but i have high standards for these evil twin pint cans, and the prices sort of force my hand on that, i wanted more from this one for sure.

Poured to an Ora et Labora taster.

A: Body is perfect. Period. It's bright yellow and orange and pretty much opaque. Head is white and has a very good retention. This is like Tree House perfect. Claps.
S: Aroma is very citric and sweet and has a good wrap around of resinous profile. It's actually more sweet than expected but it's still good.
T: Taste starts off with a very velvety touch of sweetness incoming from mango and peaches with a milky touch, then moves on a grapefruit touch and from that moment on you get a higher and higher turn to resinous bitterness that ends in major bitterness burn. It doesn't even feels healthy but it's so good in the summer time.
M: Body is medium to high. Carbonation is perfect. Alcohol is unnoticeable. Bitterness is very high.
O: It's by far the best Evil Twin I've had so far. Congratulations.

Really hazy fruit juice look, off-white head. Aroma is juicy, sugary, similar to canned peaches and other preserved fruits. Taste is sweet, malty, slightly grainy with orange peel bitterness on the finish. Full body, low carbonation. It has some alcohol heat but it's not very intense. Overall it's a pretty nice and juicy DIPA.

Released June 2018; drank 7/22/18 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dull orange/yellow appearance.

A violent pour yielded a huge eggshell head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.

Table sugar & mango notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Table sugar & mildly tart mango flavors up front; faint wheat notes on the finish. As this warmed, booze heat notes emerged.

Kinda sickly-sweet; drinkable, but not very enjoyable. I've had my last.

Big fat creamy NEIPA that plays there very sweet exotic fruit category like a mango Lassi. However, somehow the hype is wearing off for me and I wonder if this style will survive outside of the Brewpub where it is always very fresh.

This yellow milky haze of a brew is covered by a thick off-white forth. Light fruit pith and peel rises pleasant to the nose. Taste is thick with orange zest and an array of other light fruits (tangerine, green apple, white grape) up front followed by some sour fruit and a slightly oily finish. Medium and creamy in body and just absolutely fantastic.

A: Cloudy light orange
S: Mango, orange, sugary, light pine
T: Mango, alcohol, light tea leaf, sugar covered tangerine, a little too much malt sweetness and booze
M: Medium with delicate carbonation
O: Would probably be great if ABV dialed down 2%-3%. Sometime reminiscent of FFF Dreadnaught

Pours an opaque orange with two fingers of white foam that retains well and leaves behind a curtain of lacing. Aroma is orange, lemon zest, lemongrass, papaya, mango, pineapple, and strawberries. It has a huge, sugary, citrusy aroma. Flavor profile is deep, hitting notes of lemon grass, mango, papaya, pineapple, and orange and lemon zest. Biscuit, bread, and toasted malts add a load of depth and thickness. Mouth feel is thick, velvety and slightly-grainy. It has a huge, filling presence. Overall, an IPA that has been loaded down with hops, but handles the burden extremely well. It's a flavor bomb, but well curated.

Served in a 12oz snifter from a 16oz can.

S: Hops, tropical fruits.

T: Hops, tropical fruits. Alcohol. Heaven.

F: Light to medium bodied, yet fully flavored.

O: Another spectacular beer from Evil Twin.

A: The beer is quite cloudy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down a bit but consistently left a short head covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of passionfruit and tangerine citrus are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the flavors of passionfruit are somewhat stronger than those of the tangerines. Only a slight amount of bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and rather "juicy" on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: With minimal bitterness and crispness, this beer drinks like New England-style IPA and goes down rather easily for an imperial given that any traces of alcohol are well hidden from the taste.

Pours a hazy orange with fine, soapy foam.

Smell is tropical and juicy, with notes of mango, orange and some white flour.

Taste is tropical, with waves of mango and peach being joined by a not insignificant booziness. Long finish, and the booze fades a bit as it warms.

Mouthfeel is medium, soft and well carbonated.

Overall, a very good DIPA with Evil Twin's signature booziness that gets a little bit in the way of an otherwise great beer.
