Hazy orange pour, slight off white cap with little lacing. Sour citrus sweetness on the nose. Incredible flavors of tropical fruits but the grapefruit dominates. Smooth and crisp with a bitter finish. Quite an amazing IIPA!

Pours typical of an ipa, golden and somewhat hazy. Nose has an odd almost sour smell. Taste at first is pungent but that fades to sweet. Follow up is citrusy.

16 oz. can poured into a wine glass.

Pouts a hazy goden orange hue with a two finer fluffy white head. Head leaves nice lacing behind, and it retains very well. Hard to see any carbonation as the brew is quite opaque.

Big fragrance of oranges and grapefruit, then some mango, and the slightest suggestion of ginger accompanied by a subtle grain like husk aroma, also some hints of tar.

Tastes of juicy, hop driven oranges and grapefruit. Orange and grapefruit is almost in equally parts, but the sweetness of the orange flavor gives way to the tingling bitterness of grapefruit. Mid palate has some evidence of grains coming through in a mix of white and wheat breads. Finishing in dry grapefruit rind.

Mouth feel is on the heavier end of medium bodied, but still very dry due to all the hops. There is a distinct numbing tingle that seems partly due to the hops and partly due to the ABV. That being said, abv is very well hidden.

Weird name, but this is a beautiful beer. Well hidden alcohol content. Great hop flavors without excessive bitterness and a great balance of flavors. I highly recommend this!!!

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 1/18/2018. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance; and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and lightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Mildly warming alcohol for 10.5%. Overall this is an amazing NE DIPA! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the big ABV; with the mellowly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. Extremely juicy and fairly dank hop complexity; sizable malty backbone as expected of the ABV, but not too sweet/heavy feeling. A highly amazing offering, and spot on style example. Great showcase of the Galaxy, Simcoe, and Citra hops.

A: Pours a hazy pale to medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate medium yellow + apricot colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense foamy off-white head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Just shy of strong aromas of juicy citrus/orange, citrus/grapefruit, stone fruit/peach, tropical/mango, and citrus/tangerine hops as well as just shy of moderate aromas of pine/resin hops over the top of slightly stronger than moderate aromas of caramel + biscuit malts with a moderate amount of sweetness.

T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of caramel + biscuit malts with a moderate amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by strong flavors of juicy citrus/orange, citrus/grapefruit, tropical/mango, stone fruit/peach, and citrus/tangerine hops as well as just shy of moderate flavors of pine/resin hops with a light amount of bitterness which fades quickly leaving a moderate fruity hop flavor lingering.

M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly creamy. Light to moderate amounts of dryness and alcohol warming in the finish.

O: Dangerously drinkable with very well hidden alcohol and really enjoyable hop flavors reminiscent of of a classical DIPA but with less bitterness and more juiciness. Very enjoyable, I could easily have another one of these but I fear that might put me into a little trouble getting up tomorrow morning.

Unlikely to see any "cease and desist" letters cross their desk anytime soon, Evil Twin's hoppy playground has them brewing a very strong IPA that's chocked full of the citrus and pine elements that put the imperial style on the craft beer map.

It's Like I'm Having the Most Beautiful IPA and the Most Terrible Nightmare at Once (That's not just me getting all meta about beer (ok, maybe a little)) is the long winded name for an standard dry-hopped hazy golden appearance. Radiant with a perfume citrus and spruce, the beer's fragrance precedes a caramelize malty sweet taste with a suggestion of graham cracker greets the palate.

As the flavors develop, the middle palate prefers a dampening of sweetness and a growth in hoppy fruit impressions. Malts retreat to a supportive starchy sweetness as the hops billow into a full flavored display of mandarin orange, white grapefruit and a slim impression of lemon and cantaloup. Apricot and mango bring a light jam character to taste before the bitterness strikes the back of the throat with a strong taste of pine, grassy chives and a spice of gin.

Medium full on the finish, the beer's shocking dryness and hop spice has the ale drinking at a rapid rate because of its refreshing and drinkable character. Dangerously palatable, the IPA trails into a long and bitter aftertaste with the taste of citrus peels and pine resonating soundly into the next sip.
