Pours a two-finger white head that fades slowly, leaving some lace. Very pale, hazy straw color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Pineapple & grapefruit nose, flavor is pineapple, some sweetness, hops are hidden, good but unusual IPA. $4.91 for a 16 oz can from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

When we tried this beer we called it a thinking mans beer, because of its smooth finish and an under toned yet complex body. This was the best IPA we tried from Evil Twin, and an excellent IPA overall.

Golden in color with white head. Nose is hoppy and citrusy. Taste is like the nose and with a mango flavor. After taste has a bit of a bite but softly. Good beer.

As a brewery that's never shied away from a trend, Evil Twin Brewing turns to the "smoothie" IPA with tropical intent. But not simply stopping with copious pineapple fruit additions, they reinforce the notion with oats, gooseberry, vanilla and lactose for extra measure to not just chase a trend but to lead it.
Pale and honey gold, The Flava Influencer IPA floats a rich and cottony froth to start the show. The tropical scent of pineapple is obvious, but stone fruit, citrus and a kiss of white wine add elements of curiosity and uniqueness. The honey impressions continue with a supple sip, along with hints of cream and candy.
As the sweetness slowly dissipates, the middle palate opens up the rich and rife taste of musty pineapple, seemingly of the over ripened variety. Lemon, green apple and berries tease the palate with a subtle suggestion of tartness for a full fruity sensation on the tastebuds. As the bitterness sets in, the spice of peach skins offers a light smoky and peppercorn balance to both the fruit and lingering malts.
Medium bodied, the vanilla spice and starchiness of grain intertwine for a pillowy support for fruit, bitterness and that slightly tannic peppery bite. A medium long linger of pineapple rinds, fresh grassiness and freshly shaven spruce extends with a spicy series of echoes on the throat.

A: Pours a relatively clear pale to medium yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass, moderate amounts of fine to medium light colored particles in suspension, and moderate pale golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy white head that reduces to a couple of small to medium sized patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of vanilla over the top of light to moderate aromas of grainy + oat malts with a light to moderate amount of lactose sweetness. Light aromas of tropical/pineapple and gooseberries.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of biscuit + grainy + oat malts with a light to moderate amount of lactose sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of vanilla and light to moderate flavors of tropical/pineapple and gooseberries. No discernible hop presence and minimal amounts of bitterness leaving lingering vanilla + lactose + gooseberry flavors.
M: Light to medium bodied with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp upfront with a light amount of softness/fluffiness mid-body.
O: Definitely an interesting milkshake IPA since the hops are hidden behind the fruit additions, vanilla, and lactose. Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and enjoyable.

Poured a light-yellow body with great carbonation and quick-dying head. Mainly a tropical fruit aroma with some berries, floral hops and hints of vanilla and oat. A juicy, tropical fruit taste, not much really pineapple to me, although there is a sharp berry edge which I assume is the gooseberries, has a fuller body and easy to drink with good balance and then touches of vanilla sweetness on finish add a little pizazz.

Big, juicy, pineapple juice yellow. Very hazy. Topped with two fingers of yellow head.
Smells of pineapple, coconut, piña colada, with some dank, earthy, Greenleaf notes.
The taste of follows the nose. Falls a little flat.
Medium juicy body, with a little carbonation.
Got this in Reading August 28, 2018 where I’m drinking it.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on August 22, 2018. IPA brewed with oat, lactose, vanilla, pineapple and gooseberry. A nice blend of fruity flavors.
