Pours an effervescent & hazed up straw color with two fingers of pillowy pearl colored head. Great head retention & above average lacing
S: Citrussy, tropical, a touch of grainyness
T: Passion fruit, guava, dryness & a little grapefruit up front. Tangerine, a little peach, passion fruit & dryness as this warms. Finishes dry with passion fruit, pomelo, a little lime & a touch of grassyness
MF: Medium body, semi-firm carbonation, good balance
Easy to drink, nice blend of flavors. Well worth a try

16 oz. Can
Canned On: 06/14/18
5 Months on this can.
Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy pale yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, lemon, papaya, guava). The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, lemon, papaya, guava), nice little sweetness. Medium body, ABV is hidden very nicely, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, still a pretty tasty brew, with the months on it. Glad to see it around here. Orange Julius! Addictive! Milk Shake!

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a pint glass. Had a golden-orange color and a thick, cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Excellent lacing.
S: A decent, but not spectacular, aroma of hops, tropical fruit, malt, citrus, and a floral quality.
T: Tasted of a good amount of tropical fruit (guava, pineapple), lots of malt (surprisingly so), a good amount of hops, a hint of the floral quality, and a little citrus (orange, in particular). An uneven flavor in some ways. At first it kind of tastes like a an English IPA - heavy on the malt, light on the hops - but then the fruit kicks in. It's oddly tasty after that.
F: A solid amount of carbonation with a creamy / juicy finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This is an uneven beer in some ways, but it does grow on you. Worth a look.

The beer pours out a murky golden orange color, with 1 finger of off white head---------- the aromas are of orange, guava and pineapple-------------- the flavors start off dry and astringent with some orange, guava, breadiness and some herbaceous notes, the beer has a medium mouthfeel with a bitter finish----------------- overall this beer was good - this was a pretty good beer from evil twin not the best beer I had from them but not the worst either

hands down the best one of these i have had from these guys, and by these, i mean of course the long winded named hazy ipas that until now have either more or less all tasted the same or come to the market old enough that they have degenerated into that. this one is killer, from sometime in june though, maybe just held up better than the rest of them, steep price for a single can, but i am sure glad i didnt give up on this series, this is really awesome beer. hazy and pale and a little orangey straw colored like all the rest of them, and with the same half inch of thick white head that all the rest of them have, but with such an epic hop profile, i wish i knew what they used in this. more bold in taste than nose, which is virtually unheard of in beers like this with multiple dry hops, clearly focused on that aspect of the hops, but its true. i get fresh cut christmas tree first, lemon and juniper behind it, fresh like a cocktail. with an amazing freshness to it, vegetal and green, nice and bitter for one of these, and with a linger that i really like, independent of the dry cereal malt base, which comes and goes pretty quick for how much body it has. i love the hops here, just love them, cant place them though, what are these? like cryo simcoe or something, but also a southern hemisphere fruity white wine and even mango notes, gin botanicals too, amazing and persistent here. a little more carbonation would be cool, but i like the hops hanging on so long, i cant complain. this is actually worth the price, the best one of these hazy ipa types from evil twin so far in my opinion. loved this one, might even buy some more!

Hazy & cloudy golden orange pour with a thick pillowy head with lots of lacing. Smells of ctrus and some tropical fruit, heavy papaya, and bitter peel. Tastes much the same with a little more bitterness and sour. More tropical fruit, mango, and guava. Medium body and great carbonation.

It has been quite a couple/few days here at The CANQuest (tm) what with International IPA Day on Thursday & the annual Mead Day (1st Saturday in August) upcoming tomorrow! In the interim, I am keeping up my strength with a CAN of beer.
From the CAN: "Double Dry Hopped India Pale Ale"; "Erase & Rewind no. 23".
Slow start to this one, but remedied with a Crack! & Gussie Busch Glug (into the C of the glass, NOT down the side). I had no truck with the man since he passed in 1989 & my first visit to The Gateway City was not until 2004, but I got to see a three game series between the (now-hated) StL Cardinals & my beloved Buccos at Busch Stadium. He was dismissive of CANs, eschewing them for bottles, but he definitely knew how to pour a beer for maximal optics! In this case, it rose to the ocCANsion, forming two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, tawny head that left so much sticky lacing in its wake that I wondered it I would need a jackhammer to remove it. 8=O Color was a cloudy Hazebro of Golden-Amber shade (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose smelled EXACTLY like papaya juice! 8=O I LOVE papayas! You split one open lengthwise & the optics are spectacular, resembling a human va-jay-jay. The meatiness of the fruit's flesh only reinforces the CANcept. I used to subsist almost CANpletely on FF&V & papayas were among my favorites. Okay, back to the beer. Mouthfeel was medium, kinda creamy, but if it was because of lactose, I remain cool. The taste was very much of mango, but it lacked any inherent bitterness. As a result, I CAN't rate it very highly if I am reviewing to style (which I am). Finish was semi-dry, very tropical-fruity, but not on par with the style. YMMV.

L: Uniformly hazy & cloudy orange with a thick, massive head that never fully dissapated and left lots of lacing.
A: Citrus and some tropical fruit and peel.
T: Basically follows aroma, pretty run-of-the-mill, not really bright or exceptionally fruity, but not bad either.
F: Smooth, medium, good carbonation, low bitterness.
O: Decent but overpriced hazy.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color, pouring with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving a thin head covering the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of guava fruit are present in the nose. Some sourness becomes noticeable as the beer warms up.
T: The taste has a little bit of sourness with flavors of grapefruit, guava and mangos. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA is quite fruity and easy to drink. No alcohol is noticeable.
Note: Canned on 6/14/18
