another good one here, even if its freshness is a little off, i think its a glorious expression of el dorado hops, which still seem to always be obscured by other varietals, sometimes you just have to let them party solo, and this beer is a good example of why thats the case. its hazy in the glass, a similar shade of orange to the can it comes out of, and holds a sporting white head over an inch high and thick as cool whip. pretty hazy, but no sediment visible. aroma is mashed up cantaloupe, dripping juicy melon everywhere, like a ripe slice running juices down your arm at a picnic and not caring because the taste is so on point. so summery. i also get sweet tangerine, papaya, and floral honey behind the melon, and everything i smell here, i taste just as much, not all lost in translation as is so often the case in these dry hop driven hazy brews, it all comes through so well. sadly, there is a little bit of oxidation set in here, but even with that, this is still delicious, how many hoppy beers can you say that about?! a touch filling, but still nice and bubbly, just has a ton of body here, wheaty but without a ton of flavor, just a vehicle for the hops. still so juicy, as melon forward a beer as i can recall, brilliant hop profile here, and even a little bit of late onset bitterness. this is the first evil twin ipa i have had in ages that doesnt have some long obnoxious name. its also the first one in awhile to have a truly unique taste to it. really dug this, and im sure when it was fresh it was absolutely lights out. this is a killer hop, i hope to see more of it in a single hop context like this. yum!

A thanks to the mayor of hopsville, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a deep golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrus, mango. Taste has lots of citrus, some pineapple, moderate bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

This pours a nice hazy gold with thick foam and nice carbonation along with decent lacing.
The smell is a pleasnat citrus...pinapple, tropical, and some hoppines.
The taste follows the old factory somewhat, but with the surprise of the fruit having a little more bite than the sweet aroma leads on...with a more grapefruit citrus snap to it that is a pleasant surprise and enjoyable.
As for the feel and overall, it has a semi sharpness and dryness to it, but very nice to quaff back and enjoy the hidden ABV.

Bright yellow body, mildly cloudy; rapid rising of carbonation bubbles; frothy, white head. Grass and lemon aroma; floral. Tastes like a lemon meringue pie; citrus pith; nice hop bitterness percolating through. Medium body; somewhat fizzy; overall dry.

Given my sample is over six months old, I bumped up my taste and smell ratings a .25 point each. It certainly drinks well and has a rather unique quality about it. A fresh version may have been more awesome, but what can one do when you don't get it until it's five months old (and you wait another few weeks before trying it)? Regardless, a good and distinctive IPA.

From the bottom of the can: "ETOL D01-AH 7879 10/29/18"

Appearance: The body of the beer is very hazy. It has a light gold body and a medium-sized fluffy white head. It has good head retention and lacing.

Aroma: It has a light aroma of peach and alcohol, with a bit of mango.

Taste: There is a nice peach flavor up front, followed by a bit of nondescript tartness and a touch of cedar. The finish is more peach flavor. It tastes a bit like gummy peach rings.

Mouthfeel: Light bitterness and mild tartness. The beer has average carbonation. There is a stronger alcohol presence than competing beers of the same ABV. This one boasts "Alc. 7% by Vol." on the label.

Overall: It is a fairly average tasting IPA, if a bit low on bitterness. It's a decent enough beer to enjoy but it isn't one I would rush out to buy again. It's the kind of beer you would pick on a menu while eating at a place that didn't have a large selection. I don't recommend for or against it but it's not one I'd likely pick up again.

"I'm looking at a tin star with a... drunk pinned on it." Brilliant!

Date: Canned 10/18/18, tasted on 11/27/18.

Appearance: Deep yellow haze with two fingers of white head.

Aroma: Øl Dorado smells like vanilla creme hard candy with some peach and tangerine, but fear not as it isn't anywhere near as sickeningly sweet as it sounds. There is no mention of double dry hopping, but it has a powdery piney character which I equate with DDH beers.

Taste: The taste goes a little different as grapefruit and pine take center stage here. The sweet fruity vanilla creme candy quality is detectable as well, but is up front and quickly pushed aside. The bitterness isn't aggressive as IPAs go but it does hit hard for a hazy Evil Twin beer. It's good but what really elevates the beer into something more memorable is the vanilla. When Evil Twin cools it with the lactose or better yet avoids it all together, they produce some very original and memorable beers. I tend to enjoy aggressively bitter IPAs but as hazy ones go, this is very nice.
