Day #7 of the 2018 Advent calendar and we have officially hit the bottom.
Disgusting. This is not beer; it is alcoholic fruit punch.
It is hazy and reddish orange, almost no head. Cloyingly sweet, whatever hops they may have added never had a chance.
Undrinkable.

Day 7 of the craft advent calendar. Reddish colour. Fruit nose. Decent hop notes with fruit undertones. East coast style with some nice additions.

12oz can - day 7 of the 2018 Craft Beer Advent Calendar. The name says it all, as this is made with grapefruit, passionfruit, mango, raspberries, and blueberries.

This beer pours a murky, medium orangish-brown colour, with three fingers of puffy, rocky, and mildly bubbly off-white head, which leaves a stellar band of frilly lace around the glass as it evenly sinks out of sight.

It smells of fresh-picked raspberries, muddled stone fruit, faint domestic citrus rind, and a bit of grainy and crackery cereal malt. The taste is crushed raspberries, overripe blueberries, an indistinct tropical fruitiness, still hard to pin down citrusy notes, and more bready and grainy caramel malt. No hop bitterness to report.

The carbonation is average in its palate lifting and separating frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and mostly smooth, in the sense of a fruit smoothie (I got nothin' better, sorry!). It finishes off-dry, the mixed frooty essences not letting go of the lingering reins.

Overall - yeah, this one certainly lives up to its evocative name - fruit salad in a glass. The malt plays a distant second fiddle, and the extra 2 points of ABV are lost in the mire. Full of flavour, that is, if you like this sort of thing. And I kinda do.
