Imperial Stout brewed with milk sugar & brown sugar with marzipan and toasted coconut added. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, amaretto, warm coconut. Dense body. Deceptive. Soft carbonation.

16 oz. can gushed upon opening. Flowing out for a minute. Contained and poured into a Willi Becher, the beer pours out pitch black and forms almost two fingers worth of dark mocha colored crown. Huge coconut sediment floating on the surface; some chunks, but mostly just a white, oily film of coconut.
The nose brings a huge sweetness; almost molasses like mixing with coconut and brown sugar. There is a dark, roasty background.
The taste carries a slight kiss of coconut throughout, but more of a molasses, thick chocolate syrup, fudge brownie, cake batter sweet presence. I get some almond throughout. Honey lingers.
Carbonation is on the high side, leaves you burping after a drink. Full, thick and sticky with sweetness. The ABV is definitely showing in this, slightly past warm, but I still don’t know if I would put it at 16%.
Overall, I could’ve done without the gushing but it is an enjoyable stout. But one for the sweeter of tastes, as it does cover the roasty dark malts.
