Drank 5/23/26. Canned 10/9/2025
Pour is black/brown with a dense, tight cap of khaki foam. Excellent retention and lacing.
Nose is peppery, cinnamon, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, roasted malt.
Taste follows. A nice wave of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee up front, followed by vanilla, subtle cinnamon, with a slightly peppery bite on the finish.
Smooth, full bodied. Not overly sweet like some Evil Twin stouts I've had. Low/moderate carbonation appropriate for the style.
Delicious beer. None of the additions dominate or get in the way, Nice balance and not overly sweet.

Can from fall 2025 trip. A good series, heat but balanced, chocolate liquor like mouthfeel. Very sippable, shareable, alcohol well hidden. Sweet but not cloying.

Wow, I poured this so slow and it still gave me super duper head and the retention is second to none. Def thick, a little too syrupy. Dark chocolate on the drink then the habanero comes in after. The boozy warmth first followed by the pepper warmth. I like it. I could def drink one again but only one at a time. This is a beer I would like to share with all my friends and family who only drink beers like Coors Light

Black dark chocolate liquid with a nice light brown head.oily foam lace on the glass and lasts forever. Smell on Vanilla and cinnamon. Taste like milk chocolate covered Habanero peppers. Sweet (almost to sweet) and warm going down. I gave it a 4.0 overall because it's to sweet for my taste buds.

16oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of chilies, cinnamon, vanilla and chocolate. Spicy up front with vanilla, cinnamon, sweet chocolate and toffee.

On tap at Ridgewood. Pour had zero head, minimal ring. Thinner than expected for something of such abv. Great notes of cinnamon, vanilla, spiced fudge. Easy mouth feel, no burn.

16oz can poured into a snifter
A- pours jet black in color with a one-finger creamy khaki head that reduces to a ring
S- rich chocolate fudge initially on the nose, followed by cinnamon & creamy vanilla. Some underlying pepper heat as it warms
T- creamy chocolate brownie batter up front quickly gives way to a wave of cinnamon around the mid-palate. The vanilla brings out a creamy marshmallow note before finishing with more rich chocolate on the finish. The pepper emerges at the finish, leaving a noticeable hear behind
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns creamy into a warming finish, with heat that sticks around on the throat
O- I'm not sure what the story is behind this but it does remind me of batch 1 MC

A poker buddy shared a 16 oz can at the 8-26-24 game. This was delicious with the cacao nibs, hot peppers, and touch of vanilla forming a very tasty brew. Glad i was able to enjoy a half of can!

Just what I expected with looks like spent motor oil and a real basic head that faded and left minimal spotty lacing. Smells of dark chocolate, roasted grains, cinnamon, chili peppers, molasses, brown sugar, vanilla extract and a whole bunch of sweetness from the chocolate combined with spices and/or the habanero heat. Nose was par for the course and not too sweet.
Tastes like it smells with dark chocolate, roasted grains, cinnamon, brownie batter, hot chili peppers, molasses, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cayenne pepper, spices that are peppery and sweetness from the chocolate. The heat is present in every sip, but the brew is fairly well balanced for a Mexican Hot Chocolate style brew. Enjoyable overall.
