Pours dark and opaque, with a head that matches the the toastiest part of the loaf pictured on the label. Lots of banana and brown sugar on the nose. Cinnamon comes through in the flavor, with more banana, and a sugary, vanilla finish. Mouthfeel is strangely effervescent, not at all what I'd expect from a beer of this weight. I burnt my tongue on some pho last night, and I feel like my taste buds aren't functioning at 100%, but what I can taste is interesting, and put together well.

Pours motor oil black color with a 2-3 finger thick brown colored head that faded slowly and left minimal lacing as it slid down. The nose gives off everything listed on the side of the can with brown sugar, vanilla, banana and light cinnamon up front mixed with dark chocolate, molasses, soy sauce, Hershey’s chocolate syrup, sweet chocolatey malts and piney or earthy notes. Very complex and interesting for an imperial stout, it’s not too sweet plus this aroma completely masks the 13% ABV.
Flavor is like the nose but with a lot more chocolate in the taste plus toffee, burnt coffee grinds and more pronounced brown banana. As with the smell the dark chocolate, molasses, soy sauce, Hershey’s chocolate syrup, sweet chocolatey malts, brown sugar and vanilla allows for a very dynamic flavor profile which has some earthy notes to cut the malt and chocolate sweetness. A definite dessert beer, but like all ET stouts this is definitely worth a try.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a finger high dark tan colored head that died down, leaving some small patches of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of bananas and brown sugar are present in the nose.
T: The taste of the beer follows the smell and has strong flavors of ripe banana along with notes of brown sugar and hints of cinnamon and bits of chocolate.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. There is also some smoothness on the mouthfeel.
O: This stout is quite sweet and makes for a good choice for a dessert beer. There was a ton of ripe banana flavors even when I bit into the head. I couldn't believe how well this beer masked nearly all of the alcohol from the taste.

Served in a teku glass from the can.
Appearance: incredible dark black brew coming off with a tan head rising well over one fingers length off the body.
Smell: sweet brown sugar with dose of vanilla.
Taste: Sweet complex masses and vanilla with doses and doses of dessert sweetness whicj is barely offset. A light touch note of salt but honestly just used to bring out even more flavor.
Mouth: sweet and super sticky with a soft carbonation and very full body.
Overall: good brew. Needs no tweaking but the masses are a tad overpowering. Drink with love. Salud!
