Wow is this beer exceptional I was very impressed and everyone at the party really enjoyed the sharp kiwi notes mixed with smooth coconut and just a nice bit of lemon one would expect in the style. The ABV makes it easy to crush and I wish I would have got more than two because they were a treat!

im so glad we have some evil twin beers coming to idaho, lots of heady stuff doesnt come here, so pleased we have these, and i look forward to them dropping. this one is a weird one, a berliner with kiwi and coconut, buts its quite successful if you like a real modern take on the style with plenty of fruit. its a little hard to appreciate the wheat in this, but the flavors added go together really well, and this remains light and drinkable despite being so flavorful. for one thing, its probably the most kiwi fruit i have ever known in a beer, its always hard to pick it out, and its usually overrun by whatever other fruits its matched up with, but here it kind of stands on its own in nose and taste, and even oddly enough in texture, like this is tangy and almost gritty like the little black seeds, fleshy in feel and lightly vinous to me in the aroma. the coconut is strong here too, and its like the canned thai coconut milk where all the rich fat coagulates at the top and you have to break through it with a spoon to get to the milk beneath it, maybe a touch of sun tan lotion in the nose, but the back half of the flavor is fresh coconut cream glory, really nice! its never too sweet, and is just sharp enough on the acidity to cut what sugar is here, clean lactic tang and nothing more, a little pucker from the kiwi somehow too it seems, white wine notes and elderflower to finish. i also get a bit of key lime here, maybe its the label on the can playing tricks on me, or the coconut seeming to bring that out of the kiwi, a more common combination, but i love what i taste here, even though i dont necessarily want to drink this all day. innovative and good, i love that i can taste the kiwi, and the coconut is rich and luscious here. worth picking up!

Showing their prowess at making sour ale, the Evil Twin masterminds of beer look toward the tropical influences of kiwi and coconut for a succulent tanginess and a soft balance that hits the tastebuds with an irresistible wine spritzer character wrapped in a smoothie.

But Kiwi Coconut Fizz in a beer, pouring a standard hazy gold and capped with a spritzy and loose foam stance. Those tangy aromas of cider, wine and green berries carry the kiwi well with subtle hints of burlap and macadamia. Taffy-like in its sweetness, a lightness of sourdough, candy and simple syrups greet the tongue with subtlety.

As the flavors unfold on the middle palate, its the juiciness, radiance and succulence of kiwi that spreads across the tastebuds with a nearly margarita character. Offering a light vanilla and cream character, the coconut balances the fruitiness with the suggestion of key lime pie filling. White grape, gooseberry, under ripened berries and crabapples come with a lemon and lime medley that bounces off of the kiwi additions seamlessly.

A kiss of graham cracker follows in a short, sweet and sour finish that refreshes the palate with ease. Irresistible in its tropical tanginess, a clean sourness makes this simple but effective ale an easy crowd pleaser.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 9/2019. Pours fairly hazy medium golden amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy kiwi, coconut, strawberry, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, vanilla, hay, straw, grass, wheat, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of kiwi, coconut, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy kiwi, coconut, strawberry, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, vanilla, hay, straw, grass, wheat, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy kiwi, coconut, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy kiwi, coconut, strawberry, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, vanilla, hay, straw, grass, wheat, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of kiwi, coconut, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a fantastic malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with zero puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tartness, tangy fruit, and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is an incredible fruited Berliner weisse! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of kiwi, coconut, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish. Fantastic soft feel and not overly lactic. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Amazing balance of juicy/jammy fruit and Lacto complexity; with an awesome pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Light residual sweetness with crisp acidic/tangy dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing spot on style example as expected of the brewery. Feels like there is Lactose, but that could just be the coconut? Not overwhelming on any aspect.
