Tart, refreshing hose. Watermelon adds a nice touch. Actually after I was halfway done, I did a no-no and put a piece of watermelon in my glass. It was a nice touch.

Light yellow/good with a fluffy, almost creamy head. Very sessionable. Up front it's like a watermelon jolly rancher, but with the sweetness restrained just enough to keep from being overly sweet. If this was even an inch sweeter, it would be too much. There is also the slightest amount of sour/tatt to counter the sweet. Nothing to even get close to jaw tightening though, very mild. Also, salt is almost completely hidden, with just a touch popping up in the background. However it really makes these flavors of watermelon pop and stand out. This would be a great summer pint.

Taking on summer head first and just like a pro, Evil Twin brewers whip up the perfect dog days defeat with a sour German styled ale with a generous soaking of watermelon juice.
Pale gold and with hardly any suggestion of red fruit in sight, Watermelon Spritzer graces the nose with a radiant, vibrant and highly aromatic perfume of the finest watermelon imaginable, along with hints of white wine, cider and green fruit. With a gentle drift of sea air, the nose soon gives way to a brisk sweetness of light taffy, honey and agave.
Then as the ale washes the middle palate, a huge burst of watermelon comes with the fruity juiciness of the red fruit candy, but without its sweetness. Instead, a clean and acidic flavor of crabapple, gooseberry, white grape, lime and lemon transforms the watermelon into a sour and pickled rind episode. Without much sweetness, the light sourdough maltiness fuses with a rounded salinity to amplify the overall character of watermelon in the absence of much sweetness.
Light bodied and insistent upon holding onto a mild bready creaminess, the beer's overall character is that of an expressively carbonated watermelon cider or wine, much like a fine sangria or simple cocktail. As a perfect thirst quencher, this highly refreshing, highly drinkable ale wins the war of summer.
