this is such a cool series of beers, was stoked to find this on tap! its a weird one, definitely a stretch to call it an ipa, as the hops seem way less pronounced here than the others i have had in the series. the tartness is dialed back too, just a little lactic twang to it, but pretty mellow. its shocking its at 8% abv, it drinks soft and light and easy, no sign of its strength whatsoever. its pale beer with a short lived head from the tap. the aroma sings with fresh tangerine zest, and i get some light floral character as well, maybe a hint of lime too, seems summery and light for what it is, hops are complimentary but mellow. the flavor is real distinctive, they definitely have the tonic part of this down, as there is an obvious sort of quinine thing going on, hitting the front of the tongue and staying there for the whole drink. its nice with the light bitterness of the orange, which is actually pretty obviously tangerine specifically in this, pretty impressive. ive never had a tangerine tonic cocktail i dont think, but now i want one, this beer is clever and different and good, and the flavors come together very well. more bubbles would be cool this sags just a little, but its a fun drink and im glad i ran into it last night. evil twin just keeps on coming out with these weird beers, and so many of them seem to work. im hooked!

From an undated can. Poured into a Teku glass. Pours a golden color with a stout white head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving some lacing behind. Fair amount of sediment in suspension visible in the glass. Smells spritz with some fain citrus. Its awfully sweet giving way to a slightly drier finish. I'm having a hard time picking up much else, maybe a hint of biscuity malts at the end, which is weird. Its drinkable but I dont think I would go back for more as it's fairly forgettable.
