Appearance - Very bright golden color. Almost glowing.
Smell - Creamy, with hints of coconut. Not much else to report. Pretty mild.
Taste - Incredibly unique, to the point where I had trouble articulating my thoughts at first. It's pleasingly tart, in a limey sort of way. The coconut flavor is present right off the bat. There's lots of tropical fruitiness in the finish, without evoking any specific kind of fruit. But there was something else about this beer that I couldn't put my finger on at all. I checked out the ingredients again, and realized what it was: sherry powder. This beer is incredibly reminiscent of a full-bodied white wine - tart and oaky with some tannins in there.
Mouthfeel - Thick, chewy, super oily. winey. Lingers on your palette for a while.
Overall - Confusing at first, but I ended up really enjoying it. Evil Twin produces lots of beers that are totally out of left field, and this one is definitely no exception!
