Poured from a bottle into a small festival taster
L: deep black/brown, minimal head no notable lacing
S: at first like overripe bananas as you mush them to make banana bread. Like that (4.5). As it warms get this artificial laffy taffy banana note which I very much don’t like (3.5)
T: from the cellar I’m getting mostly dark chocolate and coffee. Baking chocolate, somewhat bitter, roast coffee. As it warms get some banana, thinking more banana smoothie. Just a weird muddled banana flavor, considering the adjuncts guess it makes sense but honestly expected more banana off the bat
F: fine, low carb appropriate, could be a bit thicker
O: tough time grading this. It’s not bad in absolute terms, not dying to drink more. Considering how much banana is there surprised it kind of fails to really come through on the taste

Poured into a tulip glass via bottle
Color is a blackout cake
Smell is sweet banana up front covered in milk chocolate
Taste is chocolatey bananas up front followed some heavy alcohol booziness
Carbonation is high
Mouthfeel is thick and sticky
A nice banana stout that needs time to mellow out on the alcohol burn
