Poured from a bottle into a small glass taster
L: Bare minimum dark brown head that disappears immediately, no lacing. Bit more of a head once it warms
S: not as in my face as I expected. Chocolate fountain and raspberries, syrupy sweet, not boozy. Sweetness grows as it warms
T: same as the nose, at first raspberry is so assertive it tastes artificial. As it warms chocolate comes through more, but a bitterness grows as well and overall it gets somewhat muddled. Medium finish, lingering taste probably my favorite part
F: somewhat light body, mouth coating but not thick. Middle of the road carbonation for a stout like this, for me
O: decent but the raspberry makes me think of artificial filling in gas station chocolate, plus the growing bitterness isn’t ideal

color is jet black with mocha foam
smell is milk chocolate covered raspberries
taste follows the nose, but the raspberry flavor lacks depth
