Poured from a bottle into a small glass taster
L: deep black brown, minimal head when first poured nothing as it's warmed up. no lacing
S: lots going on here. Chocolate (fudge, brownies), vanilla, maple, coconut, caramel. Quite sweet nose, some nuttiness
T: sweet for sure, with maple chocolate fudge leading the way. Some coconut, almonds/chestnuts coming through. Not quite sure on the figs, finish is very much maple for me
F: medium/thick, pleasantly surprised it isn't more cloying considering the ingredients. as it has warmed pretty much zero carbonation
O: pleasantly surprised by this! will admit i was ready to hate it, very happy to be proven wrong. a sweet, decadent stout

poured into a snifter glass via bottle
color is black strap molasses
smell is coffee, vanilla, chocolate and a small hint of maple syrup
taste is sweet figs, chocolate and marshmallow..very nice!
carbonation is a bit high, and the mouthfeel is spot on.
this is more like it..out of the 7 12 beers of XMAS that I have tried so far..this is the best by a wide margin..wish they all would have been this good!
