Poured from bottle into a glass festival taster
L: black/brown with minimal carbonation that dissipates quickly
S: nice sweet maple and vanilla nose, chocolate, some almond
T: First sips were a let down, felt the nose didn't quite carry over. Bittersweet chocolate, raisins, vanilla that came off as artificial. Once it warmed up got more maple, overall on the sweet side but not overpowering. Finish has something I can't quite place, drying sensation makes me think of tannins
F: could be a bit thicker but fine overall, carbonation good. Nothing bad, nothing remarkable
O: a fine stout that approved as it warmed up, but overall the nose promised more than the beer delivered

Poured into a teku glass via bottle
color is deep licorice
smell is vanilla extract with a faint hint of maple
taste follows the nose..albeit with a slightly artificial aftertaste
carbonation is low and the mouthfeel is semi thick
nice..but I was wanting more...
