The can states “Sour IPA with milk sugar, orange, marshmallow and coconut. Hops: Citra & Galaxy”
It pours cloudy orange color with a huge 2-3 finger thick eggshell colored head that faded very slowly and left decent foamy lacing. Smells like orange juice, peach, apricot, mango, citrus hops, tropical fruit, fruity candy and some tart red grapefruit. A nice complex nose that lacks any real malt presence but still is really enjoyable to inhale.
‘The Sour Adaption of Root + Branch's "The Nomadic Approach to Reinventing the Wheel,” Brewed With Great Care At Evil Twin NYC in Ridgewood, Queens Under The Direction of Hudson Valley Brewery’ might be the longest name of any beer, but it does partially explain why this beer is delicious. It’s sour to the point of being tart as the Hudson Valley influence is quite evident in the creativity required to make a sour IPA so damn easy to drink. Mild carbonation goes well with the flavors of lime, orange juice, peach, Razzles candy, apricot, mango, citrus hops, tropical fruit, tangerine, a dash of brown sugar and tart red grapefruit. Really tasty, it was a treat to drink.
