16 oz can, purchased at Cottage Hill Package in Mobile, AL.
Canned on 11/26/19.
Smokestack snifter.
Pure juice. Man this is glorious. Deep beautiful murky haze with a creamy tall head of 3 fingers, destroying the glass in connecting webs as it recedes to a finger and rests. Enough for a mustache.
Aroma is a hop lover's dream. Tons of wonderful mango, papaya, OJ, pineapple, dank apricot, grapefruit, with a good dose of grass, and pine to a lesser extent. Herbal OJ is the loudest note.
Flavor is huge. Tons of wonderful grapefruit juice, slight earth/must, tangerine, slight banana smoothie, pineapple rind, and papaya. There is some fading here, I can tell some of the fruit has left the building and in its place some thin paper.
Feel is juicy and acidic and creamy.
Overall, nothing short of amazing, and the type of amazing craft I'd expect from Evil Twin NYC/Connecticut. If it hadn't faded so much, I'd be fine with going back to buy a 4 pack for $20. I think by the time I'd get to it, it wouldn't be what it is now even. Fresh, this would kill. Glad I could try a can, and cements my responsibility as a beer drinker to visit Brooklyn for these guys and Other Half.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/26/2019. Pours opaquely hazy deep golden/amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, red apple, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey/toasted/biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, red apple, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey/toasted/biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, red apple, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey/toasted/biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering resin/bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Mild increasing warmth of 7%, and lingering hop burn after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic hazy IPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish; great soft feel and not aggressive. Feels like Citra and El Dorado. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a great balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding style example as expected of the brewery.
