Picked up from the 50% off rack at Speedway. Would never pay $8 for a can of gose, but $4, I'll give it a try.
Pours a light amber color. 1/4" white head. Slightly darker than your average gose, might be the watermelon affecting the color in that way.
The aroma I dunno, I wish I could say something other than weird. Not bad, just, weird, you're in this winter imagery, and then its a watermelon/salt summer like combo. Threw me off I guess. But there is plenty of watermelon in the aroma if that is what you're here for. Me, I dunno, i think watermelon Dorado ruined watermelon in beer for me.
Taste is mostly salted watermelon, there is a vanilla like aspect in the mouth feel that seems out of place. Seems heavy for a gose, and not just because the abv is 5.5%; I dunno, I didn't hate anything about this beer, but I didn't like anything about it other than the label. This is pretty much my average Evil Twin experience, almost never impressed, but also not disgusted either. Not a fan of watermelon, I like my gose like and smacky.

The name of this brew is a sentiment I usually have. I'm having a little trouble connecting with the experience that is this brew. It gives off a taste like the after effects of an event that featured watermelon for thousands - underneath the table that held the watermelon the next morning. That's kind of graphic, but fruit brews can go funk side quickly. This one goes there. Compare it to the multitude of Urban Artifact fruity things and they seem tame compared to this ones' wildness.
Ordinarily I like tart brews (although I know many who like them more than I do). This one makes me long for someone to share it with.
Recommended (anyway, because it is uniquely funky).
