Can from the brewery in Queens. On cracking the can, a shot of beer spat out of the can hitting the floor and walls and myself and my wife, be warned, open like a can of surströmming, ideally submerged in water or at the very least outside and out of range of others. Pours black with a flash of bubbly dark mocha head that disappears, boozy fingers on the glass, smell is rich dark maple syrup, burnt caramel, bourbon, boozy sticky toffee cake, hints of salty castelvetrano olives and aged balsamic vinegar, taste is dark maple syrup, fudge, molasses, dark chocolate cake, mild bourbon and earthy/woodiness on the finish, feel is full bodied and decadently velvety. Maple chocolatey goodness to the max. 2016 Michigan Maple Jesus vibes.
