On tap:
Dark brown leaning medium, with a medium thick, but completely covering light beige head. When cold, nose is light with just a little nuttiness coming out. A little above average carbonation hits on first sip. A bitter dark ale hits, though it takes the aftertaste to show that it is likely the barrel tannin providing at least some of the bitterness.
As the beer warms, some fruity chocolate aromas come out. The nuttiness from the opening sniff hits the palate at this point. Feel softens slightly, and the oak remains noticeable in the finish.

Pours out a nice dark brown color with lighter brown hues towards the outer edges. The head is thick and fluffy and sticks around for about a minutes before thinning out into a collections of random bubble islands forming a neat lacing around the glass.
Dark fruits like raisin and mild fig come through, but I can't detect much else.
A bit woody and a mild sour flavor come though, nothing off putting, bitter in the aftertaste.
Light bodied and plenty of carbonation.

This one pours a dark brown/nearly black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This one smells like cereal grain, chocolate, oak, coffee, and roast.
This is a bit sweeter than I typically prefer my black lagers, but it's still quite good. There's a defined chocolate character, with some oak, a touch of hop character, roasty coffee and malt, etc.
This is medium bodied, creamy, and drinks bigger than the ABV would suggest.
This is solid stuff, I've really been liking the lagers that Evil Twin has been putting out lately.

Can from Vinyl Beer on the UES. Pours a opaque very dark amber brown almost black, a finger of medium dark foamy tan head, decent lacing, smell is oaky chocolate, mildly roasty Swiss mist/chocolate milk, hints of coffee, taste is earthy roasted malt, dark chocolate, chocolate milk, hints of coffee, pleasant dry mild grassy zip on the end, light bodied, crisp carbonation, finishes bone dry. A bowl of roasty chocolate Rice Krispies.
