What a cute little baby can!

This one pours a very dark brown color, with a very small head, and not much lacing at all.

This smells like caramelized brown sugar, maple, dark fruit, tannic oak, leather, bourbon, and grape.

This is absolutely fantastic. Despite the brewery's reputation for the sweet decadence, and the use of maple syrupy barrels, this somehow didn't end up being too sweet. There's a lot of barrel, some char, leather, and oak, with a big of tannic/grapey bitterness as well. There's definitely a hit of maple, but it doesn't overwhelm. There's also caramel, dark breadiness, and dark fruit.

This is medium bodied, with a lower level of carbonation, and no real booziness to it.

Evil Twin NYC overall seems like a much more consistently tasty brewery than Evil Twin proper, which had some absolutely delicious beers alongside some absolutely revolting beers.

Server in a baby snifter glass from the can (8oz).

Appearance: Thick dense brown body coming off almost opaque. The brew pours a true mahogany color with a medium bubbles flowing through out the body. Tan head rising half a finger's length off the body.

Smell: Deep brown sugar meshed with a light vanilla and toffee feel which lingers inside the nostrils.

Taste: Complex sweet meshed with a touch of vanilla. Carmel doused with bits of oats and pieces of candy.

Mouth: Thick body, sticky aftertaste with deep molasses hugging the cheeks.

Overall: Good brew, can't complain pricey but seriously worth every penny considering I got it straight from the brewery. Salud!
