Appearance: Pours with a slightly hazy purple color with a stunning neon fuschia head; leggy with spots of lacing
Smell: The blueberry and raspberry aromatics combine to create a tart, jammy currant character
Taste: Sweet berry flavors are overwhelmed almost immediately by a forceful acetic sourness that persists into the finish
Mouthfeel: Thick bodied almost like a smoothie sour with moderate carbonation; quite puckery
Appearance: There is a powerful fruit aspect here; just bold and tart across the board

It has a stunning black currant color and fuchsia foam. It is jammy and has none of that fake berry flavor. They must put so much fruit into this sour. Very high end.

In a most un-IPA IPA, Evil Twin drops the mic on the one upsmanship to push beer to the brink. Not only has Evil Twin left home, but so have the hops.
And what came instead is sourness. In a very off-IPA move, ET Left Home 1 pours with a creamy dark violet color, opaque because of its fruity density. As a neon fuchsia froth builds on the beer, the nose is stricken by intense and berry-laden sourness equipped with notes of wine, balsamic and a pungency of moss. Jammy-sweet on the tongue, the flavors open with a fruity intensity to rival cobbler, fruit puree and berry glaze.
The intensity of blueberry and raspberry explode on the middle palate as its juicy radiance overwhelm the tastebuds. Plum wine, crabapple, lime, lemon and gooseberry give the fruits the proper avenue toward sourness that pangs away at the palate with unabashed dominance. Succulent, sour and quite delicious, the ale trends piquant with wine-like peppery quality and playfully acetic, a hint of balsamic adds an element of complexity to the puckering sourness.
Medium bodied and jammy-sweet, the final step toward dryness helps the beer to see a measure of refreshment and drinkability through the celebration of pastry malts and fruit syrup. With no hops in sight, this IPA cannot be further from the accepted character of IPA, but is a terrific fruited sour ale for an element of "surprise!" with every sip.
