This one pours a dark-ish brown color, with a very small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like jammy grape and berry, oak, vanilla, chocolate, simple syrup, caramel, and port.
There is a lot of wine barrel on this one - it's barrel heavy and it works well with the base. It's got a good sweetness to it, so it's definitely nice that this is presented in the little baby 8oz cans. The barrel adds fresh jammy berry character, tobacco, vanilla, oak, and red wine flavors (obviously), with meld well with the chocolate and caramel from the base.
This is medium bodied, slightly syrupy, with a soft and low level of carbonation.
More beers like this should be offered in 8oz packages.
