Poured from a can. Very thick, like crude oil. Almost alarmingly so, but settles nicely into the glass with a rapidly dissipating chocolate foam head. Very mild lacing and some miniscule carbonation creeping up the sides of the glass. Smells of artificial blueberry and deep, roasted malts. Getting no 'bread' character. Certainly smells like a blueberry donut made with artificial blueberry flavor. Large, sweet blueberry malt bomb on the taste, with a less than nice aftertaste that lingers. Bitter, and not in a clean way, but like earwax. Astringent. Some toasted malt character comes out too, but is overpowered by the bittering. Almost no alcohol presence. Despite the depth and powerful flavors, relatively drinkable and dangerous @ 12%. A good, one and done experience. Wouldn't mind throwing one in the beer fridge to flesh out options for guests.

Well you can tell the flavors artificial because the foam quickly Fades into pretty much nothing. Still the base beer shines as the deepest darkest Imperial Stout I expected. Smell reminds me of the smash blueberry Imperial Stout I have had from The Heavy Seas and tastes pretty much confirms it. Base beer covered up by mostly blueberry flavors very sweet and jelly like reminiscence of donuts not getting much cake batter just balanced fudgy notes very reminiscent of liquid double fudge.

Overall it's a decent experimental and delivers in the blueberry but probably not worth the price I paid because I could get two biscotti breaks for the same price.

This promises to be interesting, canned 2021/02/12
Pours a dark brown small fizzy head with med retention, a bit of lacing, long inky black legs fall back to the oily pitch black beer

Nose brings plenty of blueberry and chocolate, blueberry pastry like with donut dough and cake batter, a little vanilla and some roasted malt with coffee notes, sweet sugary blueberry icing, that's about it

Taste kicks off with inky thick heavy stout, dark roasted malts and a little char, quickly overpowered by blueberry somehow, artificial blueberry flavor with some blueberry donut and cake batter, more sweet vanilla blueberry icing character, into fudge and dark chocolate, chocolate frosting, getting more roasty and charred as it warms, with some bitter roast and mild spicy hop character, some tingly semi hot alcohol but not fusel, sweet sticky finish with more roast and slight acrid bitterness

Mouth is fuller bod, rich heavy thick oily, carb on the lighter side, light warming tingly alcohol

Overall mixed, there is some of the base stout thankfully, and it definitely delivers blueberry donut but it's a bit more artificial tasting, and doesn't play as nicely as I expected with the base stout

A: Pours an opaque yet still clear extremely thick viscous jet black in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and extremely faint dark chestnut brown + dark cola brown + dark garnet red colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense foamy dark mocha head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of dark + chocolate + lightly roasted + caramel malts with moderate amounts of lactose + brown sugar + caramel + dark fruit (plum + fig) sweetness. Lighter aromas of sweet cake-like donut and moderate aromas of blueberry jelly. No perceptible hop aromas.

T: Upfront there are moderate to strong flavors of dark + chocolate + lightly roasted + caramel malts with moderate amounts of lactose + brown sugar + caramel + dark fruit (plum + fig) sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of sweet chocolate fudge. Next there are light flavors of sweet cake-like donut and moderate flavors of sweet blueberry jelly. Finally there are no perceptible hop flavors but there is a light to moderate amount of roasty bitterness and lingering moderate chocolate fudge.

M: Full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Thick, smooth, almost creamy with a light amount of alcohol warming in the finish.

O: Drinks pretty easily considering the strength and other than a little warming in the mouthfeel, the alcohol is very well hidden. Definitely a slow sipper as it is sweet and dessert-like. Enjoyable.
