Too sweet for my taste. Think candy slush with cotton candy and caramel suckers added to sweet and low, plus dipped sugar with sugar. Did I mention it is sweet?

So when does an IPA become a smoothie? When Evil Twin Brewing dares to elevate the New England style. Imperial in strength and simply slathered with vanilla and marshmallow, there's not much left to dare.
"To Dare Is To Lose One’s IPA Momentarily. Not To Dare Is To Lose Oneself" isn't just the stuff of haiku, its the name of such a beer that starts out deeply translucent with a soft golden glow. As a frothy white crown adorns the rim, the sweet scent of vanilla cream rolls off of the foam along with a strong fruit and herb perfume from the hops buried under the cream. Sweet and nearly sickly so, the early palate is rife with cereal, condensed milk, confectioner's sweetness and generally all-thing-creme brulee.
With its one dimensional sweetness fully saturating the tastebuds, the middle palate eventually allows the tropical fruit of pineapple, orange, guava, lychee and coconut to permeate the vanilla and sweet cream with a light hop bite and a taste that trends gently herbal. Softer hints of cannabis, sassafras, cedar, verbena and tea take an edge off of the persistent sweetness and finally allows the taste to resemble IPA.
Full bodied, sweet and apologetically sugary, the beer finishes fruity-sweet for IPA and with a medium long linger of bittersweetness that resembles aspartame and chewable aspirin. Its a fantastic IPA when you want your IPA to taste like pudding.
