3 months old. Can to snifter.
Look: Pours a full purplish red. A lot of sediment floating around. Muddy foam with big bubbles.
Smell: Red apples. Cinnamon. Graham cracker.
Taste: Fruitiness of ripe red apples and acidic cranberries paired with sweet notes of cinnamon and graham crackers. Hints of vanilla.
Feel: Thick and juicy with medium carbonation. Drinks like a fermenting red smoothie.
Overall: Spectacular sour ale with very pronounced notes of all adjuncts. Great balance of fresh fruit notes, sweet pastry notes and a fruity acidity. Everything‘s there, nothing‘s overpowering. Perfectly winterish combination of flavors. Full and complex, yet highly drinkable.
