Couple years old, so take that into consideration when reading.
The look started at least 4.5 or higher- oil like pour with a dark brown head, albeit short and brief. The problem was the end - lots of particulates and general unpleasantness.
The taste, everything in between the pour and particulates, was really quite good. Tons of chocolate, some dark fruit, caramel and just malty goodness. The sole negative is that there’s no edge to keep it from getting too sweet.
The feel is pleasantly viscous, very pleasant quaffing.
OA, almost sweet enough to be a pastry stout yet no adjuncts or additives. I’ll buy it again if I see it again.

Whoa i'm only the 6th person to rate this beer? OK, i got this as a gift, the $5.69 tag is still on it. Poured out a deep dark brown, no head, just a little lacing clinging to the sides of the glass. The label is nothing special, just some geometric dark red triangles. Smell is spicy! Dark fruit like cherry and date, slight sting of alcohol. Taste is wildly sweet, like savory chocolate candy bars and some dank toffee, caramel, and nougat. This is like a Twix bar to be honest, maybe a little bit of bitterness and pungent twang to it, but overall pretty smooth and savory. Mouthfeel is expectedly thick and chewy, with quite a bit of carbonation. I think this is a respectable imperial stout. It's rather unassuming in name and label design, but delivers the goods as far as an enjoyable beer goes. Cheers!

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a thin khaki head that dissipates slowly and slightly to a thin film, with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, fudge, vanilla and graham cracker. Flavor is dark toasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, raisins and black licorice. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess; nice mouth feel. It's been a long time since the original of this one, but this seem much like I remember, with lots of chocolate and some vanilla. This version has a distinct licorice flavor that adds some light tartness to the finish. Flavor depth and chocolate lean towards a pastry stout, but this is not all that sweet. Pleasant return to a classic Evil Twin stout.

Found an unflavored Imperial Stout from Evil Twin.

Beautiful dark rich color in the pour. No real head, disappeared quickly.
Unlike many stouts, this has definite nose. Nice pleasant aroma, hinting at something delicious.
Very very smooth. Nice balance of slightly sweet, very little bitterness.
Excellent simple Imperial Stout.

Black, black black. I’ve never seen a stout this black. A tan head eventually appears but is quick to disappear leaving the black beverage occupy the glass on its own. Pleasant aroma: sweet roasted malty goodness with caramel & alcohol. Sweet with some bitterness. Lots of flavor: plum, raisins, molasses, caramel, black licorice, roasted malt & some mild hops & spices. Very thick & very smooth, with enough carbonation & alcohol to entertain the tongue. Mild stomach heat. Who put licorice in my stout?
