Cans in the 4-pack did not all have date codes stamped on the bottom. From the bottom of this can: "03/16/2023 08:19"
Appearance: It has a dark purple body with a light purple-pink colored head which is medium-large in size. It has bubbles that are mostly neatly packed with a few larger ones here and there. It has good head retention but no real lacing.
Aroma: It smells a bit like strawberries and raspberries. There is also this odd aroma which smells a bit like vanilla and caramel but in an artificial candy way. It smells a bit like a Halloween bag of candy (sans the chocolate) if somebody left a fruit roll-up inside.
Taste: Very fruity flavors up front. It has a huge burst of raspberry and strawberry flavor with notes of blueberry and pomegranate. It tastes like a fruit smoothie drink. The flavors stay strong and fruity throughout.
Mouthfeel: It sits near the upper edge of medium-bodied. It has a nice fruity tartness to it.
Overall: It is a fruity yet simple beer. The label states that this is a "SOUR ALE WITH BLUEBERRY, VANILLA, CINNAMON, MAPLE, & UTOPIA'S FRENCH TOAST BAGELS." There is definitely a fruity flavor to the beer but the cinnamon, maple, and french toast bagels are completely absent. There is a weird artificial-like aroma which comes across as a vanilla but it mostly just feels like a standard fruity sour. It is a nice beer but it is really missing pizazz. I would recommend it if you are looking for a well made berry-centric beer. If you are looking for cinnamon, french toast, or vanilla then you probably won't find much here to enjoy. I probably wouldn't buy it again but I definitely would drink it again if somebody handed me one.

Usually not one for gimmicky beers, but this sounded like a tasty combo. And it was!
Pours deep purple-red with minimal white head. The nose and taste feature notes of blueberry, maple, vanilla, and bread (dare I say bagel?!). Medium tartness and sweetness. Medium+ mouthfeel with light carb. Tasty. Leaning towards a dessert sour but not too sweet or excessive, relatively speaking. Worth a shot!

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a one pint can on October 17, 2022. Sour ale brewed with blueberries, cinnamon, maple, vanilla and Utopia French toast bagels. Really tasty.
