Similar to a schwarzbier, this traditional style has a slightly lighter body with a touch of sweetness. Notes of nutty toffee and roasted malts.

Dark brown. Nutty, roasty and light mocha aroma and flavor with hints of oaky character. Nice balance of flavors and not overdone by the oak Foudre aging. Light to medium bodied but a bit airy due to carbonation.

poured from a 16oz can into a konig ludwig weissbier glass. pours light brown with over three fingers of off-white foam head. toasted malts with a dark bread aroma and a bit of caramel as well. taste follows. light, but bready malts and a carmel malt finish. medium mouthfeel. good stuff. i dig this series from ETNYC.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark golden pour had me taken aback at first, off-white foamy head. Grainy malty aroma, toasty. Taste is bready, sweet, like a very rich helles. Creamy feel, toasty malts linger. Not your typical Dunkel.

This one pours a golden amber color, with a very big head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like oak, caramel, toffee, chocolate, spicy hops, and black pepper.

This has a really pleasant oaky bitterness to it that melds with the peppery and spicy hop character quite well. There’s a nice bready and just slightly sweet caramel/chocolate malt backbone here. It’s all just super well put together.

This is very crisp, with a slight creaminess, and a great drinkability.

This series is absolutely excellent, and they’re the best beers that ETNYC puts out.
