Smells of roasted coffee. Appearance dark brown, thin tan head quickly dissipating. Typical chocolate and coffee flavors but with an equal amount of tartness. The tartness isn't overwhelming but is a bit of a surprise. Bought this one on closeout ($8.99/4 pints). It was canned in December of 2022.

We have been lucky enough to have a local vendor who reliably gets products like this. This is a uniquely strong porter.
It pours deep, purplish black (I'm tripping). The aroma warms into a malty mess. The taste is pungent malts and huge boozy aftertaste. The funky boozy aftertaste take this to a level beyond expectation. It dominates the palate - food is no match.
Recommended. Not really a great value at $5.68 for 16oz but it is unique.
